At Cine Gear 2025, Profoto unveiled their new LP2000C, which they claim is the world’s brightest soft panel, boasting 2000W of power with no ballast and an IP65 rating. Also impressive is that for its size, it weighs 55 lbs / 27kg. This is the second fixture that Profoto has released for video and filmmaking. They also showed a third fixture. The COB style L600C and L600D.
The LP2000C has a native beam angle of 120°, and can produce 63,900 lx @ 1m / 3.3′ when used at 3200K. The maximum power consumption is 2000W @ 240V (15A), or 1600W @ 120V (15A).
The LP200OC has been designed for high output and speed. It is a plug-and-play solution with no ballast. There is an integrated 360-degree railing that allows you to grip it from any angle easily. The LP2000C can be mounted in any orientation without overheating. The fans on the back are always on and never ramp up. I was impressed by how quiet the fixture operates for its size and output.
Profoto also has a new Snapbag and Snapgrid range for the LP200OC, featuring an industry-first rapid-lock system SpeedClamp, that enables a single gaffer to mount it.

An innovative feature is skateboarding-style wheels that clamp onto the rail for smooth rolling around when moving the fixture. It works very well.

The fixture utilizes the Profoto Core light engine, featuring a CCT range of 2000K to 15000K with claimed SSI ratings of 86 for tungsten and 74 for daylight.

To keep the weight to a minimum, Profoto is using a cooling system called Tech. At 27kg / 59lbs, it is light enough that a single gaffer can set it up.
The light has an aluminium yoke with a 28mm junior pin.
As far as connectivity is concerned, it supports onboard control, DMX/RDM, CRMX, Profoto Air, and Profoto AirX.
