The Nextorage NX-A2PRO is the first CFexpress Type-A card with VPG800 certification. The cards will be available in capacities of 640 GB / 320 GB / 160 GB.
As the world’s first VPG800-compliant model, it will be able to support future high-end cameras whose recording capabilities will exceed that of current VPG400 certification options. CFexpress Type-A is still not a format that has been adopted by anyone other than Sony.
It has claimed maximum write speeds of up to 1,900 MB/s. With its class-leading high-speed write performance, the NX-A2PRO minimizes camera buffer free time. The card can be combined with the NX-SA1PRO USB 40Gbps-compatible card reader for rapid data transfer. For devices that do not support CFexpress 4.0, data is transferred using the CFexpress 2.0 standard.
The card is also compatible with VPG400 as stipulated in the Video Performance Guarantee Profile 4.0, this makes it compatible with current CFexpress Type A memory card compatible devices.
The NX-A2PRO series is equipped with Nextorage’s unique low power consumption technology, Dynamic Auto Power Save. It effectively suppresses power consumption during high-speed continuous shooting and movie recording, as well as the rise in temperature of the card itself. Compared to models without this technology, power consumption is reduced by up to 89% and thermal throttling is suppressed, enabling stable, long-time shooting.
Video and still image capture has been verified in Nextorage’s internal test environment. However, this does not guarantee that the camera will shoot in all operation and shooting modes.
