Fujifilm X-H2 & X-H2S firmware updates add Timecode Synchronization with the Atomos UltraSync BLUE

Fujifilm

Fujifilm has released firmware updates for the X-H2 & X-H2S that adds Timecode Synchronization with the Atomos UltraSync BLUE.

X-H2 firmware update Version: 3.10 & X-H2S firmware update Version: 5.10

Timecode Synchronization Settings

Timecode synchronization settings have been added to Timecode settings in video mode, allowing you to synchronize timecode with external devices.

This allows connection with ATOMOS’ AirGlu accessory (UltraSync BLUE) via Bluetooth. Also, by acquiring timecode from UltraSync BLUE, timecode synchronization with multiple cameras (up to 6) is possible.

Essentially this is exactly the same integration that is found in the Nikon Z9 and Z8.

Other New Features

In combination with the file transmitter FT-XH, the connection method and display function of the remote recording function have been improved. To enable this function, you need to update the firmware of the file transmitter FT-XH. Be sure to update the camera firmware to the latest firmware before updating the file transmitter FT-XH firmware.

When using the remote recording function, the MAC address and IP address are automatically obtained by reading the QR code displayed on the camera with the tablet’s camera app, making connection settings easier.

A Multi button has been added to the remote recording function. Press the button to split the screen display into 4 parts, allowing you to check the live view of multiple cameras at the same time. To return to one screen, press the “Single” button.

Clean display mode has been added to the remote recording function menu. If you select “Clean display mode”, only live view will be displayed.

When the camera and smartphone are connected via Bluetooth, the smartphone icon and Bluetooth icon are now displayed on the camera display screen.

When used with the compatible interchangeable lenses listed below, the aperture control parameters have been optimized to improve exposure tracking during zoom operations.
