Mutiny has released its new Sony FX3 R/S Fischer 3 Female input cables for ARRI, Preston, Nucleus, Teradek RT, C-MOTIONm etc. wireless follow focus systems.
The Mutiny FX3 R/S Input Cables are available in three different versions:
- Pigtail
- Coiled
- 6″ Straight
What do they do?
Well, if you want to trigger your Sony FX3 with a Preston, ARRI, Teradek RT, C-Motion, Tilta Nucleus or other wireless FIZ system you require a custom cable. To solve this issue, Mutiny has made this cable to interface with your existing wireless systems Fischer 3 cable and convert it to a Sony MULTI-TERMINAL to allow for triggering. The cables feature a Fischer 3 female on one end and a Sony multi-terminal connector on the other.
It is important to remember that for this to work your FIZ system needs to have a Fischer 3 R/S cable. Below is what is required for various systems:
Preston Cinema Systems R/S Fischer 3 Cable needed: ID: 4799 (current system) or 4521 if using MDR2
Tilta Nucleus Fischer 3 R/S Cable needed: SKU: RS-03-AM
Teradek RT MK3.1 ARRI R/S Fischer 3 Camera Control Cable: MFR #11-1357
ARRI HI5 systems will require a 7pin CAM to Fischer 3 R/S cable
NOTE: This adapter cable does not pass power. PIN 1 = GROUND, PIN 2 = NC, PIN 3 = R/S
