Godox MG2400BI

At IBC 2023 in Amsterdam, Godox unveiled its new MG2400BI COB spotlight. This is a high-power draw (2600W) light that is designed to compete with similar power draw fixtures from both Nanlite and Aputure.

The MG2400BI has an adjustable CCT range of 2700K to 6500K and just like the smaller MG1200BI it uses the Godox G mount. The reason for the G mount is that you can’t use a Bowens S mount with high power draw lights like this.

The G mount features connector pins like you would find on the ARRI Orbiter, that communicate information between the light and the lighting modifier that is attached to it. There will be a myriad of lighting modifiers available, including a Fresnel.

The light features an IP 54 rating and the light head weighs 20 kg / 44 lb and the power supply/controller weighs 30 kg / 66 lb.

There is currently no indication of pricing, but it is expected to ship later this year.
