Zhiyun-Tech has released the Smooth-Q3, a new smartphone gimbal with a built-in LED light.
The Q3 is the third model in the Smooth Q line and features a foldable design.
When folded, the Q3 has dimensions of 45 x 154 x 180mm and 90 x 127 x 279mm when unfolded. It weighs 340grams.
Zhiyun claims a run-time of 15 hours with a maximum payload of 280 grams. For reference, an iPhone 12 Pro Max is 228g.
Built-in Video Light
The gimbal has a built-in video light. It’s rotatable and balanced to 4,300K. It has three brightness settings.
Software Features
With so many gimbals on the market, what differentiates them now is the usability of the companion app. It won’t matter if the app has plenty of fancy features if it is hard to use or crashes.
The ZY Cami app has different modes built-in including panorama, dolly, gesture control, SmartFollow 3.0, and more. You can also live stream directly from the app.

The Smooth-Q3 gimbal retails for $89 USD or $109 USD which adds a wrist strap and protective bag.
