MRMC Bolt Mini Model Mover

Mark Roberts Motion Control (MRMC) has released the Bolt Mini Model Mover, an entry-level model of the Bolt 6-axis high-speed arm which you would have seen in many behind-the-scenes videos.

The robotic arm has a maximum payload of 8kg, and can be used as a standalone system or synchronized with a camera shooting bot and enables full manipulation of products with repeat pass precision, timing and triggering capabilities.

It comes with three mounting plates, including chuck mount and cheese plate, giving users a wide range of capture possibilities, as well as a gripper option.

The different mounting options let you use the Bolt for different applications, from holding the camera to a product or a light.

The Bolt Mini Model Mover uses the same software as the rest of the range, with MRMC’s Flair.

The unit weighs 42kg and can be mounted on a table or set on the floor. It comes in a compact flight case for easy transport.

It does start from £49K ($68K USD), which is not for everyone, but this a new level of accessibility.

By bringing the entry-level price of high-end, high-speed robotics down to a sub £50k price point, we hope to introduce a whole new sector of the industry to the enormous creative potential of motion control.

There are now five models in the Bolt range.
