Insta360 today launched GO 2, a stabilized action camera that weighs in at just 27 grams (0.95 oz)
Just like the original which was released back in August, 2019, the Insta360 GO 2 is a tiny camera that is designed to be worn or mounted as an action cam.
The GO 2 features a similar pebble-shaped design with built-in magnets to allow it to work with a range of accessories.
A big change from the original is that the GO 2 can record video up to 10 minutes with FlowState stabilization or 15 minutes in Basic stabilization mode. This will make it much more useful than the original which only captured 30-second clips at a time.
It uses a 1/2.3” image sensor, and can capture video up to 1440P and slow motion up to 120fps at 1080p.
FlowState Stabilization
The Insta360 GO 2 features FlowState stabilization which is found in their other cameras which eliminates shake & maintains a level horizon.
A few accessories come standard with the Insta360 GO 2. In the box, you will get the Easy Clip, Magnet Pendant, Pivot Stand & a lens guard.
New Multipurpose Charing Case
The GO 2 charging case looks quite interesting, not only acting as a charging case for the camera but a small tripod & a remote control which connects via Bluetooth. The bottom of the case also has a standard 1/4″ mounting point.
The charging case can charge the camera up in half an hour, offering 150 minutes of charge before needing a recharge via the USB C connector.
If you’re placing the GO 2 near water, it it rated at IPX8 without any additional cases. Submersible down to 4 meters (13 ft).
Companion App
GO 2’s companion app lets you preview your shots in realtime over WiFi and adjust settings.
You can also create manual edits, or download automic edits made with FlashCut 2.0.
