DoPchoice has unveiled new Snapbags, a Snapgrid and a Double Bracket for Aputure 600D.
To complement Aputure’s just-launched LS600D LED daylight-balanced point source, DoPchoice has designed two new Snapbag softboxes that directly fit the light’s Bowens mount. If you want to create a large soft source there is also a Double Bracket that enables a pair of 600D fixtures to utilize other Snapbags.
The Snapbag Medium SBRRM was designed for mounting to the fixture’s circular Bowens mount. It features all the benefits of a Medium Snapbag including a rectangular design that pops up instantly in a single piece and attaches quickly directly to the Rabbit-Rounder mounting system. This Snapbag also offers the benefit of DoPchoice’s pyramid baffle which is sewn into the center. This lets the interior silver metallic sidewalls reflect illumination outward, which helps with creating a more even spread of light. For additional softening control, a removable Magic Cloth diffusion panel is included. If you want to control the light further there are also optional 30° or 40° Snapgrids available.
If you prefer an octagonal softbox, DoPchoice now makes a Bowens mount version of their popular Octa 5, called the SBRRO5. This works well with the Aputure 600D. It has a 5-foot diameter and it can be used open, or with the included front diffusion panel. A 40-degree Snapgrid (sold separately) may be added if you further need to control the spill.
DoPchoice has engineered a custom SRADA bracket that allows you to mount a pair of Aputure 600Ds or 300D IIs. The SRADA bracket features a specially engineered plate that lets you place two Aputure lights in a parallel side-by-side configuration with aligned front lenses. Attached to the plate is the DoPchoice Rabbit-Ears mounting system. This will work with virtually all DoPchoice Snapbags that mount with Rabbit-Ears including: Octa 3’, 5’, and 7’, Snapbag Medium, Snapbag for Rabbit-Rounder Medium, as well as 3’ and 5’ Lanterns.
Manufactured by DoPchoice and TRP International, accessories for the Aputure 600D are available through authorized dealers. There are no prices listed, and these accessories will be a lot more expensive than some of the other offerings on the market.
