BirdDog Announces NDI Multiview Lite & Multiview Pro

BirdDog has announced NDI Multiview, a piece of software that allows you to create NDI Multiview streams in seconds.

Unlike traditional switchers, all of the NDI sources are on the network so you can easily mix & match to create a custom multiview to be easily distributed back onto the network.

NDI Multiview Pro supports up to 6 Multiview outputs, each can be independently configured with any of the 5 pre-set layouts. Choose between full screen, 2×2, 3×3, 4×4 and the traditional 2&8 (two large and eight small windows). NDI Multiview Lite supports 6 outputs with a maximum layout of 2×2.

The nice thing about BirdDog NDI Multiview is that you can control the output, frame rate, input sources and other quality settings to manage bandwidth utilisation.

Standard NDI feeds can be used or set to NDI proxies and a multiview output is a single NDI stream at 1080 HD that uses up approximately 100Mbps. If you need to reduce the data rate, it can be set to output at 720P. Furthermore, the frame rate can be lowered down to 1fps.
