Cooke Optics has announced new focal length lenses in its S7/i and Anamorphic/i Full Frame Plus ranges.

The large format S7/i range now gets a 300mm and three 1:1 macro
Full Frame Plus lenses. These are 60mm T2.5, 90mm T2.8, and 150mm and form a new branch of the S7/i family.

It is nice to see a dedicated 1:1 macro lens series being introduced. This is something most lens manufacturers don’t do.

The new 300mm is a T3.3, which makes it the only lens in the series that doesn’t have a T2 aperture.

  • Cooke 16mm S7/i Full Frame Plus Lens T2
  • Cooke 18mm S7/i Full Frame Plus Lens T2

All of these new lenses are designed from the ground up, as real motion picture lenses.

With trade shows all over the world canceled because of the Coronavirus, Cooke will be hosting a webinar to provide an opportunity to discuss the latest developments for the /i Technology lens metadata standard, including the most recent productions that have benefited from utilizing the technology.

“We’re disappointed that we are unable to see many of our international friends at NAB this year, but this webinar will give people the opportunity to hear more about the new lenses, find out what else we are working on including Cooke Optics TV and #ShotOnCooke, and ask the questions that they would have been able to discuss on the stand.”
