You can get up to a maximum of 32TB of storage if you use two 16TB HDD drives. If you want more storage, you can use a single Thunderbolt 3 cable and daisy-chain more than five devices to your computer. This can give you up to 168TB of capacity.

While not super fast, the enclosure can still offer reasonably impressive speeds. By using a pair of Thunderbolt 3 interfaces (40 Gbps) and a hardware RAID controller, the TD2 Thunderbolt 3 can operate at reading speeds of 760 MB/s using two SSD drives in RAID 0.
The TD2 Thunderbolt 3 can operate with RAID 0, 1, and JBOD as well as in single disk array modes.

The TD2 Thunderbolt 3 supports hot swapping and hot plugging. An automatic RAID rebuild and an auto idle mode also prevent concerns about inadequately protected data.
