RØDE introduces the Lavalier GO

The RØDE Wireless GO is a tiny wireless audio system that goes everywhere due to its a small size and simple set up. While the built-in microphone works okay, a wired lavalier is a better option. That’s how I use it and now RØDE has introduced the new Lavalier Go.

The new Lavalier Go has a 3.5mm connector that plugs right into the Wireless Go. The one downside in the design of the Go is the connector doesn’t lock as it does on the RØDELink Filmmaker Kit however the 3.5 input does have a snug fit to compensate for the lack of a locking connector.

For users who want the extra flexibility of a lapel mic, the Lavalier GO is an excellent solution. Just plug it into the transmitter, clip it onto your shirt and slip the transmitter into your pocket or clip it to your belt for super-compact wireless audio.

The Lavalier Go features a discreet 4.5mm omnidirectional microphone. RØDE states the Lavalier GO delivers clear audio in all environments and is forgiving when it comes to placement on talent, The transmitter is so small and light it stays in place when clipped to pants or the back of dress when talent is moving or running. Much better than larger wireless transmitters.

The Lavalier GO comes with a durable mounting clip for easy rigging, a foam pop filter for reducing harsh plosives and wind noise, and features Kevlar® reinforced cabling built to last and take some abuse. It is designed to pair with the Wireless GO, but works with any recording device with a 3.5mm TRS mic input that supplies plug-in power, including the RØDElink range of wireless transmitters. It is even compatible with smartphones and other devices with TRRS inputs using the RØDE SC4 adapter.
