At Cine Gear Expo 2019, AbelCine was demoing their new Cameo Chart & Rail system.
The chart was originally released back in 2013, but what is new is the rail system. The system shown off at AbelCine’s Cine Gear booth is a manual rail system that includes a digital distance readout. As the chart is moved backwards and forwards on the rail system, the distance is displayed on an iPad in order to accurately calibrate lenses.
Having an automated system that moves the charts and measures the distances accurately will cut down the amount of time it takes to calibrate lenses.
The Cameo Chart & Rail system also provides DMX control so you can adjust the light being used on the chart remotely.
The system is designed for rental houses & production studios as a complete system instead of having to build a custom system.
No pricing is released yet for the rail, but if you would like a quote, please email [email protected]. The resolution charts are available for purchase through AbelCine, B&H, and CVP.
