Camgear has announced Elite Fluid Heads and 3S-FIX Tripods ahead of NAB 2019. For the first time at a major trade show, the company will be demonstrating its Elite series of fluid heads and the 3S-FIX carbon fiber tripod.
I’m not too familiar with Camgear products, but they do appear to be a more budget-friendly solution that offerings from Sachtler, Vinten, Miller, and OConnor.
Camgear Elite Fluid Heads
The Camgear Elite Series of fluid heads feature ergonomic designs with a step counterbalance mechanism. The patented dual wheel counterbalance efficiently reduces the gap between each step, so users can achieve precise, repeatable and accurate camera positions.

3S-FIX Tripod System
Camgear 3S-FIX tripod system uses a patented one-lock, Lock and Release system, which is claimed to makes raising and lowering both upper and lower legs a simple process
The internal linkage mechanism is protected from the elements and prevents impact damage on location. The Quick lock and Release mechanism and the FIX clamp/brake handle allow for easy deployment. A user-friendly adjustment tool is provided with all 3S tripods. There are 16 different versions of the 3S-FIX available, ranging from a 75mm bowl head aluminum version with a payload capacity of 50kg, all the way up to a 150mm bowl head carbon fiber version that can support up to 110kg.
