RED President Jarred Land has shared the details of the Raven to Dragon-X upgrade.
There is only a very small window from February 11 to February 15 when the upgrade will be available at the RED Hollywood Studios in Los Angeles. It’s not quite clear about how international owners would be able to upgrade.
It will cost $8,500 for the brain swap and then you will also need to buy a lens mount of your choice.
The Dragon-X is a 5K sensor with IPP2 processing, whereas the Raven has a 4K sensor and fixed EF mount.
This upgrade path will not be offered past February 15 so if you own a RED Raven, you will have to decide soon.
