The Experience Lighting Masterclass with Shane Hurlbut, ASC has just been added to MZed Pro. Seen as a companion to his Illumination Cinematography Workshop, the course provides you with on-set experience and practical lighting approaches that can be applied on your next shoot.

At just under six hours, the masterclass will cover two environments lit for different scenarios, including both day and night setups.

View more information on the modules on the course website.

Illumination Cinematography Workshop

Want to learn more about lighting? the full Illumination workshop is also available on MZed, providing even more practical lighting tips and methods.

What else is new?

As part of a deal with US retailer and rental house AbelCine, the majority of AbelCine’s technical training will be added to the MZed Pro library over the next few months, adding even more value to the MZed Pro membership. Two of their most popular technical training courses have already been added.

Understanding LUTs

In this course you can learn how to utilise LUTs to add more than a “creative look”, understanding how you can best utilise them throughout production and post-production.

Alexa Mini Camera Primer

Get to know the ins and outs of the Alexa Mini, for new owners or even if you regularly rent out the Mini, this primer course will give you all of the knowledge you need to configure and operate the camera confidently on set.

Want to view these courses and more? the MZed Pro annual membership costs $299 for complete access to the MZed Pro library containing over 140 hours of education as well as access to member discounts. The newly-added “Experience Lighting” masterclass with Shane Hurlbut, ASC is still sold separately for USD $599 so the MZed Pro membership at half this cost definitely gives you value for your money.

Do you have any experience with, or feedback for MZed? Perhaps you’ve been waiting on a particular course subject for a while? The company recently announced a user survey that will help them decide what courses to make in future.
