Aputure today announced a host of accessories at NAB 2018. Here are some of the highlights.
Aputure barn doors
These will fit onto any reflector, they are a standard 7inch size. They are felted and have magnetic diffusion holders for your diffusions or gels. The magnetic holder is a nice touch as it makes it easy to change things in and out.
Negative Reflector
This is a black coated reflector that works with the barn doors. This allows you to create a very hard light. It is included with the barn doors.
New Aputure Fresnel
This is a larger 7-inch fresnel lens. It has a durable, all-metal build. It has a mechanical thread that allows you to spot and flood easily. Aputure also states that there is no light leak from this fresnel which is great.
Aputure Leko Mount
This is a mount that allows you to use a bowens mount accessory to attach your 120D and lets you then create a clean circle of light. Aputure can also custom cut gobos for you to use with the light.
This is an example of Apture creating multi-purpose tools. So you can buy one light, but have many uses for it.
Pricing and Availability
Barn doors + Negative Reflector will be out in 2-3 months and will cost around $60-$70 USD
Fresnel will be available sometime before the end of the year and cost about $150 USD
Aputure Leko Mount will be available sometime before the end of the year and cost is going to be around $399 USD
