Jason Cases now has a Panasonic AU-EVA1 case available if you are looking for a robust solution for shipping or transporting your camera. Jason Cases have been around for quite a while and their philosophy is to create the “Porsche” of cases. Sleek, clean, unique, and a sense of design that not only protects your gear in the best possible way, but displays the gear in the best possible way.

Jason Cases Panasonic AU-EVA1 case

The Panasonic AU-EVA1 case comes with either a black or blue laser-cut high-grade foam insert and is based around a rolling Pelican case. The laser-cut inserts are well thought out and beautifully made, and the case provides plenty of space for a lot of accessories.

It will store the following items:

  • Panasonic AU-EVA1 Body with Side Handle and Top Handle attached
  • LCD with mounting bracket (attached or detached)
  • Microphone mount with mounting bracket (attached or detached)
  • (4) Batteries
  • Panasonic charger
  • Panasonic AC Power Adapter
  • 6x SD Media slots built-in
  • 0945 Pelican case slot for additional media storage
  • (2) Canon EF lenses
  • Extra slots for charging cables and accessories

  • The biggest problem with cases like this that feature laser-cut foam is that you can’t go adding extra things to your camera, otherwise it wont fit inside the case. If for example you want to use a shoulder rig for the EVA1 you would have to take it off the camera before it would fit in this case, and then you have the added problem of having to find another bag to store it in.

The other thing to be aware of is that a rolling Pelican case like this is going to be quite heavy, and whether it makes any sense putting such a lightweight camera in it really depends on your needs.

Despite this lack of versatility, the case looks like a good solution for rental houses or owner/operators who need to either ship or transport their EVA1. The Jason Cases Panasonic AU-EVA1 case retails for $499 USD wth the black laser-cut foam insert or $599 USD if you want it in blue.
