The Fujinon XK6x20 20-120mm T3.5 Cabrio Premier PL lens had a price drop in the US back in March, and now finally that same price drop is available to customers in Europe for a limited-time. The other good news is the lens will also be available to purchase with or without the detachable drive unit. If you do purchase the version without the servo motor, and decide you want add it later on down the track, you can.
This limited-time price drop means that from now until Monday 31st July 2017, the XK6x20 will be available for €13000 with the drive unit, or €10500 without. In the US the lens with the servo motor is $13999US, and without it is $9999US.
The Fujinon 20-120mm offers good performance at almost half the price of the competing Canon CINE-SERVO 17-120mm T2.95-3.9 PL. This also puts the non servo version of the 20-120mm directly in line with the Zeiss 21-100mm T2.9-3.9 Lightweight Zoom as far as price is concerned. The Zeiss has a smaller focal range and a variable aperture, but it is slightly lighter than the Fujinon. The Zeiss 21-100mm weighs in at 4.4 lb / 2 kg, while the Fujinon 20-120mm is 5.3 lb / 2.4 kg.
I was impressed with Fujinon 20-120mm T3.5 when I tested it back in July last year.
