Letus have just introduced their 1-Axis Pro gimbal, which is optimised for larger cameras (up to 20lbs) and is designed to take the natural roll out of footage shot while the camera operator is walking. It allows you to use a handheld or shoulder-mounted rig but with the benefits of a gimbal.
Because there’s only one axis of motorised stabilisation it’s easy to balance, and it’s compatible with a wide array of third party camera support gear – in the video embedded above it’s mounted on a Wooden Camera rig. The 1-Axis Pro is available now from the Letus website for $4,999 US.
