At the Interbee show in Tokyo this week Amber Cowles from Convergent Design ran us through the new features of firmware v2015.11 for the Odyssey 7Q and 7Q+ monitor/recorders.

Main improvements include the addition of ProRes 4444 and Prores 4444XQ recording in 2K or HD at 10/12-bit RGB up to 50p/59.94p. This will work with Sony’s F3, F5, F23, F35 and F55 cameras as well as the Canon C300mkII and C500.
Also added is a useful spot metering function that can be used to compare the values between two sources at the same time.
