Who says professionals don’t use auto focus? Japanese director Yosh Enatsu shoots with the Canon C300 mkII

By technical editor Matt Allard:

Well known Japanese director Yosh Enatsu has released some new Canon C300 MkII footage. The footage was all shot in 4K 30p with Canon Log 2 by DP Toshikazu Kaneto. Yosh was also the director on the first ever Sony F55 shoot and always seems to get his hands on the newest cameras.

What is of most interest to me is the behind the scenes video showing how the new dual pixel CMOS auto focus and manual focus assist modes were used on this shoot. In my view the C300 mkII could very well change the minds of a lot of professional shooters who have always associated auto focus as being something that only amateur shooters would use.
