Blackmagic Micro Cinema camera

This is a tiny MFT-mount cube-shaped camera, specifically designed for remote shooting. It records to SD card and although there’s no built-in monitor there’s a full-size HDMI port so you can attach one to see what you’re shooting.

A new ‘Expansion’ port that will allow the use of PWM and S.Bus remote controls that are usually found in model aeroplanes and drones. Different functions can be mapped to different channels: for example iris, focus and record start/stop can all be controlled via remote transmitter.

There’s also a version with a 4K sensor and SDI out that’s been developed as a studio-only option: it’s possible to control it remotely over a PTZ serial connection, and once connected to a production switcher it will match with other Blackmagic studio cameras.
