NAB 2015: Blackmagic Design Video Assist - $495 5" monitor recorder

The Blackmagic Video Assist is a five-inch 1920×1080 touchscreen LCD monitor that takes a feed via SDI or HDMI and also records ProRes 4:2:2 to an SD card.

It’s a crowded market for small monitors but the Video Assist offers a crisp image, flexible input and recording options and crucially, should offer good value at $495 when it is available in July.
