These days there are a multitude of sliders to choose from, ranging from very inexpensive to super high-end. Canadian outfit Cinevate have been making sliders for several years and their Duzi slider was recently reviewed here on the site.

Their latest slider is something a little different. The Hedron is a premium offering which has options for pretty much every kind of slider move, with varying degrees of friction and inertia. This is done by buying either a Counter-balance add-on (similar to high-end units like those from Matthews), or a Fly-wheel device to the basic slider. Motion control options are also available. The Hedron can be used in both the horizontal and vertical directions.

It comes in different length versions, from 24 to 60 inches long. Prices start at $799 US, with the optional Fly-wheel adding $399 and the Counter-balance $599 to the final price. Motion control starts at an additional $1199 on top of the base price.
