Chuck Fadely talks to Chuck Westfall from Canon about the new XF205 and XF200 cameras. The cameras sit in the middle of the range between the 105 and 300, and both feature a compact 20x zoom from 26.8mm (35mm equivalent), with an eight-blade aperture and three separate lens rings for focus, zoom and iris control. The cameras record in both MXF and MP4 formats, and have ethernet LAN and dual wireless LAN connectivity for networking options. The XF205 adds HD SDI monitor and 3G SDI outputs, Timecode and Genlock. The XF200 and XF205 are available from mid-July priced $3,900 and $4,400 respectively.
