Yes, you may have just checked the date; no, it is not a belated April Fool (unlike our report on the Rode i16). Fishbone – the Taiwanese team who brought you the climbable Treepod – have come up with another esoteric offering. This one is a spin crane that rotates around a bicycle or motorbike as it moves, allowing you a seamless shot of the rider at its centre.
Jackie says he’s spent three years thinking about it and has only just finished building it. It’s fair to say this seems like a fairly niche product at present, but he stresses that it’s just a sample and promises that he’s thinking about designing and producing a more elaborate version, with more features.
