Wooden Camera Boldly going where no rig manufacturer has gone before: A tough new carry-on camera bag

By site editor Dan Chung:

Wooden camera have launched the innovative Bold camera bag designed with air travel in mind. As with other popular carry-on bags from Thinktank and Kata it is designed to meet FAA requirements – the big difference is that the Bold has the strength of a hard case. The manufacturer claims it is even strong enough to stand on without damaging your gear. Watch the video below for a demonstration of the bag’s construction and design.

Travelers in Europe may want to look at more conventional bags though – the Bold itself weighs 11lbs and empty is close to the carry-on limit for several budget carriers. The bag may also be too big to comply with some European overhead bin sizes. If you are based in the US or regularly fly business class then this bag looks to be a great option.

The BOLD can be arranged to carry many current cameras
