Sanken was showing a preliminary version of their upcoming WMS-50 Surround microphone at IBC 2019.

The WMS-50 is an ultra-compact surround system microphone with front and rear MS components outputs. Each MS output is a Mini XLR05M connection.

The microphone features a figure 8 cardioid pick up pattern that Sanken claims produces smooth and coherent stereo and surround audio.
