The Wicam Power Box and Power Rods are not new products, but I haven’t covered them on the site before. They can be used on a variety of cameras, but they were primarily designed for use with ARRI digital and film cameras in mind.
Power Box
The Wicam Power Box is a power adapter that allows you to use one standard 14.4V V-mount or Gold-mount battery as a power source for your camera and gear.
It provides a galvanically isolated camera output of 24V 300W 12.5A / 26V 300W 11.5A (switched by a button on the body), which makes it possible to power any camera with a nominal input voltage of 24V.
The Power Box steps up, isolates, and stabilizes the output voltage for the camera, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of the electronic components and accessories. Isolated and stabilized voltage increases the service life of the camera and its gear by completely breaking the closed loop in the circuit, along which parasitic currents and interference wander, leading to burnout of electronics when powering several analog/digital devices from one source. The camera output is galvanically isolated from the battery and other sockets for 100% protection against parasitic currents and interference. It also features built-in overload, overheat, and short-circuit protections.
There are standard 1/4-20″ and 3/8-16″ threads with ARRI location points on the body. With the kit belt clip, it is possible to minimize the weight of the camera by mounting the adapter with the battery on a belt.

Power Rod
The Wicam Power Rod is an aluminum adapter for camera rigs and accessory mounting that is equipped with a built-in power distributor with pass-through RS signal. It was designed to increase and diversify power options.
It has 4 end-to-end (pass-through) sockets for connection, as well as a power signal, and the splitter also passes a “Rec-Stop” signal through itself for remote control of ARRI cameras.
There is a standard 3/8 UNC 16 thread with ARRI location points on board.
They can be used as a rig adapter for mounting on-camera accessories and a power distributor at the same time.
They are available in a 15mm diameter with 100/200/300mm lengths, as well as in a 19 mm diameter with 200/350/500mm lengths.
