DJI has pushed two rounds of firmware to its Osmo Pocket gimbal cameras since August. On the dual-lens Osmo Pocket 4P, this covers versions 01.01.71.20 (August 19, 2026) and 01.01.71.31 (September 2026). The single-lens Osmo Pocket 4 runs its own version numbering and received V01.03.1005 in August and V01.03.14.04 in September.
The headline additions: Camera Cloud Service uploads to Google Drive, OneDrive, or a NAS on both cameras; 10-bit D-Log in slow motion on both; updated v2.0 LUTs and 45-degree diagonal joystick moves on the 4P, and, on the Pocket 4, Frame Tracking, Osmo FrameTap support, and a new HDR 10-bit color mode. All updates are free and install through the DJI Mimo app.

Osmo Pocket 4P: 01.01.71.20 and 01.01.71.31

The August build carries the 4P’s feature additions. The September point release is cumulative and adds accessory housekeeping.
01.01.71.20 (August 19, 2026)
- Camera Cloud Service: direct upload from the camera to Google Drive, OneDrive or a user’s own NAS. DJI says supported services vary by country, region and mobile device, and the list may change in future updates.
- D-Log 10-bit in Slow Motion mode: previously, log was limited to standard video modes. Slow motion reaches 4K/240fps on the wide camera and 4K/200fps on the telephoto. CineD confirmed D-Log works at all slow-motion frame rates, including 240fps.
- D-Log only, not D-Log 2: the 17-stop D-Log 2 profile is still unavailable in Slow Motion mode.
- v2.0 LUTs: D-Log to Rec.709 and D-Log to Rec.709 Vivid LUTs updated for more accurate, consistent color. DJI recommends pairing them with slow-motion D-Log. Downloadable from the Osmo Pocket 4P product page.
- 45-degree diagonal joystick input: the gimbal moves diagonally without combining separate pan and tilt inputs.
- Interaction and image-quality optimizations in certain scenarios, plus fixes for known issues.
01.01.71.31 (September 2026)
- DJI’s notes restate the August feature set: Camera Cloud Service, slow-motion D-Log, v2.0 LUTs and 45-degree joystick moves.
- Osmo FrameTap firmware v01.02.08.02 ships alongside, updated separately through DJI Mimo.
- DJI lists compatible, up-to-date mic transmitters: DJI Mic Mini 2, Mic 3, Mic Mini and Mic 2.
- Further image-quality and interaction optimizations and bug fixes.

Undocumented: FrameTap and DJI Mic at the same time
Pocket 4P owners in Japan report the FrameTap remote and a DJI Mic 3 or Mic Mini 2S transmitter can now connect to the camera simultaneously. The shipping firmware did not allow it. Users showed it working on both 01.01.71.20 and 01.01.71.31. DJI’s changelogs do not mention it. FrameTap and the DJI Mimo app still cannot connect to the camera at the same time.
Osmo Pocket 4: V01.03.1005 and v01.03.14.04

The Pocket 4 picked up most of the 4P’s tracking and control features in August, then slow-motion log and HDR in September.
V01.03.1005 (August 19, 2026, 556.8MB)
- Camera Cloud Service: same Google Drive, OneDrive and NAS upload as the 4P.
- Frame Tracking: the camera auto-selects an ActiveTrack subject. When the frame turns yellow, one joystick press starts tracking and holds the current composition.
- Smart Gimbal Mode: remembers the last mode after restart and supports zoom during tracking via joystick or buttons.
- Osmo FrameTap support: remote gimbal direction and composition control.
- Fill Light: automatic brightness and color temperature based on the scene.
- Custom Button press-and-hold: assignable to zoom out or open the custom settings menu.
- Portrait-mode virtual custom button: single, double, triple and press-and-hold actions.
- Reworked photo capture experience, plus interaction and image-quality optimizations and bug fixes.
v01.03.14.04 (September 17, 2026)
- HDR 10-bit color mode for video. DJI recommends viewing on an HDR display.
- HDR Enhancement in Photo mode.
- D-Log 10-bit in Slow Motion mode, up to 4K/240fps. Previously limited to standard Video mode.
- 45-degree diagonal gimbal movement via the joystick.
- Battery Handle and Fill Light update alongside the camera; do not disconnect them until the update finishes.
- Osmo FrameTap v01.02.08.02 installs separately through DJI Mimo. Connected DJI Mic transmitters should be on DJI’s specified firmware.
- Image-quality and interaction optimizations and fixes for known issues.

Before you update
Back up Photo mode custom settings first. DJI says the August Pocket 4 firmware reworks photo capture, and custom Photo settings may not survive the update.
- Connect the camera to DJI Mimo; the app prompts for the new firmware.
- Charge the camera before starting.
- Leave a Battery Handle or Fill Light attached until the Pocket 4 update finishes.
- Update the Osmo FrameTap separately in Mimo to v01.02.08.02.
- If the install fails, restart the camera and the app, enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and retry.
