An on demand webinar entitled How to Stream from Anywhere without Failure has been posted up by Teradek. Teradek and RaceOn give you a behind-the-scenes look at how they deliver reliable, multi-camera race coverage from challenging locations.
In the webinar you can learn:
- How RaceOn deploys multiple Prism devices across every race
- Strategies for streaming where connectivity is limited — or nonexistent
- Starlink, SRT, Core, vMix, and Helios workflows in real-world production
RaceOn production director Tony Feders, talks about how to achieve reliable remote live sports broadcasting without traditional satellite trucks or fiber runs. The session covers strategies for streaming from challenging locations using bonded cellular technology and cloud-based workflows. The team shares their experiences streaming from remote tracks with limited cell infrastructure, such as Chattam, Louisiana, and Quincy, Illinois, where managing buffer settings and network priorities is critical
RaceOn relies on Teradek Prism devices to bond multiple network sources, including cellular, Starlink, and terrestrial ethernet, to maintain stable streams in remote areas. Their workflow involves using Teradek Core to ingest streams from the field, allowing the team to monitor signal quality, latency, and individual modem performance via a Quality of Service (QoS) dashboard.
By using cloud-based vision mixing (often via vMix), RaceOn can produce professional multi-camera broadcasts with a minimal on-site footprint.
