DZOFilm brought its new Arles 25-75mm T2.6 and 65-180mm T2.6 FF zoom cine lenses to IBC 2026, a two-lens set designed to cover 25-180mm at a matched T2.6 with no gap between them. We talked to DZOFilm’s Suzanne on the show floor about the design.
What it is
The two zooms — 25-75mm and 65-180mm — overlap between 65mm and 75mm, so a production can run both on A and B cameras and stay covered across the full range without a gap in focal length. Suzanne said the lenses share color science and CC control with DZOFilm’s existing Arles primes, so they’re built to cut into a prime-based setup without a visible shift in color or rendering. According to Suzanne, DZOFilm’s aim with these zooms was prime-level resolution across the entire zoom range, not just at a sweet-spot focal length.
Suzanne also said the new mechanism design makes the Arles zooms noticeably lighter than DZOFilm’s existing Catta zoom line, while landing at roughly the same T2.6 speed — brighter than the Catta’s T2.9 — with improved CC (color consistency) control.

Both lenses use a custom low-saturation blue coating DZOFilm says reduces flares and ghosting, and both are parfocal, holding focus through the zoom range. DZOFilm’s own marketing describes the optics as capable of resolving to an 8K standard; the studio also lists dust and splash resistance as part of the build. DZOFilm describes the look as sharp with organic, low-contrast bokeh rather than a clinical rendering — Suzanne’s description on the show floor matched: strong sharpness with an organic character rather than a harsh one.
Mount and adapter options
The Arles zooms ship in PL mount. A user-swappable EF mount kit is available separately — no need to send the lens back to DZOFilm. DZOFilm’s Octopus adapters cover E, RF, L, Z, X, and DX mounts for shooters who need something beyond PL or EF; the Octopus Adapter II runs $199 USD separately.
Extender compatibility
The Arles Zooms pair with the DZOFilm Marlin 1.4× Extender (PL-to-E, PL-to-Z, PL-to-L, and PL-to-RF versions), which shifts the effective ranges to 35-105mm and 91-252mm. With the extender attached, both lenses run T3.6-T3.7 wide open and stay parfocal.
Price & availability
DZOFilm’s official pricing — confirmed on both B&H and DZOFilm’s own store — puts the Arles 25-75mm T2.6 and 65-180mm T2.6 at $2,899 USD each, available individually or as a two-lens set for $5,199 USD that ships with a dedicated safety case. The EF mount kit is $99 USD separately.
