Litepanels has expanded its Astra IP series with new kits and studio accessories designed to streamline rigging, transport, and light control for broadcast and field productions.
The new Astra IP lineup includes:
- Weather-Resistant Kits
- Soft Case Kits
- Pole Operated Yokes
- Horizontal Mounting Adaptor Bracket
- Flat Diffusers
If you are not familiar with the Astra IP, they are IP65-rated, small-sized, and compact fixtures that can be run remotely using flight-safe batteries. All the Astra IP fixtures have a tight beam angle of 30°.
Weather-Resistant Kits
The Astra IP-rated kits were designed for ENG and outside broadcast applications. They provide a complete, weather-resistant lighting setup that includes a rugged, waterproof Pelican case.
They are available in Duo (two-light) or Trio (three-light) configurations with Astra IP 1×1 or Half fixtures. Each kit includes light stands, medium diffusers, power cables, U-bracket adapters, and IP-rated battery brackets supporting V-Mount, Gold Mount, Single BP-U, or Dual BP-U options.
Soft Case Kits
The Astra IP Soft Case Kit provides a lightweight, two-light setup in a single durable carry case. It is available in Half Duo, 1×1 Duo, or Combo Half and 1×1 Duo configurations.
Each kit includes two fixtures, medium diffusers, and essential power cables.
Pole Operated Yokes
The Astra IP Pole Operated Yoke provides quick, precise tilt and pan control of overhead fixtures directly from the floor. It is available in models for the Astra IP 2×1, 1×1, and Half lights.
It features a CNC brass gearbox for smooth adjustments and an anodized aluminum frame for permanent grid installations.
Horizontal Mounting Adaptor Bracket
The Horizontal Battery Adapter Bracket allows IP-rated battery brackets to mount horizontally on the yoke of Astra IP Half, 1×1, and 2×1 lights without restricting tilt angles. By attaching directly to the bracket base before clamping to the yoke, this compact adapter solves clearance issues, enabling full upward and downward rotation while running on battery power.
Flat Diffusers
Astra IP Half, 1×1, and 2×1 fixtures now feature an expanded lineup of Flat Diffusion Panels: Heavy, Medium, Light, Ultra Light, and Super Ultra Light. These new additions join the original medium diffuser.
The panels slide directly into the fixture’s front accessory rails to give users options for beam softening and light control.
