Nissin Japan has announced the new Free Tilt FT-03A. The Free Tilt FT-03A is a device that allows users to adjust the angle of smaller lights when they are placed up high.

The Free Tilt FT-03A has a payload capacity of 1.5 kg (0.9 kg when the pole is extended). Using the grip handle, you can adjust the vertical angle and lateral movement of the light. By tightening the lock nut, you can securely fix it at any desired angle.
The previous model, the Free Tilt FT-02, which was announced back in 2025, was made of carbon fibre, but the new version is now made from aluminium. Aluminium is used for the pole, dowel sockets, struts, and grip ends. The grip handle is made from EVA material. Nissin states that the move to aluminium was done to help minimise the risk of heavy equipment falling.
The telescopic structure now features three sections instead of two. This allows users to change the length from 49 cm to 123 cm. The total weight of the Free Tilt FT-03A is 380g.
The lower end of the main body is equipped with a D-ring so that you can attach counterweights and suspend other items.
