As soon as you start adding accessories to any camera, you can end up with a spaghetti mess of cables, which doesn’t look pretty and can create operational issues and headaches. To help deal with this, Bright Tangerine has a new solution called Loom Cable Tidies.
We have seen a myriad of cable management solutions over the years, and the Loom Cable Tidies are just another option that you can use.
Key features
- No Loose Ends – Keep your cables organised anywhere on your rig.
- Easy Cleanup – The only specialist tool you need for installing the Loom is a thumb and a finger.
- Clean Up – Separate or spool cables with a range of tying options.
- Adjustable – The silicone strap has four holes for varied layouts.
- Sustainable – The reusable cable tidies mean that you’re cleaning up more than your rig.
The Loom design is fairly simple and offers a range of configuration options for tying down cables. Users can create a simple closed loop, or a figure-eight. As the strap points are adjustable, you can experiment before locking them in. They have dimensions of 10 x 4.8 x 1.8 cm.
The Loom Cable Tidies don’t require you to create knots, and they don’t require any tools. All you need to use a Loom is your thumb and finger. There are 1/4″ and 3/8″ easy-press screws, allowing you to add cable management anywhere on your rig.
Bright Tangerine always comes up with creative and interesting names for their products, as well as a range of colors. So why would you need to have colors? Well, maybe you need to distinguish between your BNC and D-Tap cables? Maybe you’ve got a timecode sync and an external transmitter both feeding out of the camera. Whatever the reason, being able to coordinate your rig with different-coloured Looms means you don’t have to dig through every nondescript black cable and trace them back like the world’s most boring maze.
