Io Xpand gives video professionals a portable way to bring AJA desktop I/O performance to Thunderbolt-equipped laptops and compatible computers. The chassis supports full-height, half-length Gen 4 PCIe cards, including double-width cards and cards with daughter cards, with up to 6000 MB/s of bidirectional PCIe bandwidth.
Io Xpand was built for mobile, onset, remote production, live switching, post-production, and ProAV environments where space is limited but professional video I/O is still required. It supports Thunderbolt 5, 4, 3, and USB4, with compatibility across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Io Xpand can be used as a standalone chassis or bundled with AJA KONA 1, KONA 4, or KONA 5 cards to create compact workstation-level performance in a portable device. Most AJA Corvid I/O cards are also supported for developer and embedded system workflows.
