Japanese production house Visual Park is distributing sample footage shot on the Sony FX5 free of charge. You can try out a total of nine clips, including 16-bit X-OCN, 5K120P, and Open Gate S-Log3 footage.
According to Visual Park, they are providing these clips free of charge because they believe that, for those considering a purchase, actually editing footage and color grading it yourself is the best way to gain a deeper understanding of the camera and how it behaves. The total size of the clips is about 13GB.
The only slight hiccup is that a lot of editing software does not yet support X-OCN.
Even though the footage is free to download, the company asks that you please refrain from using the distributed video footage for commercial purposes. Personal use and posting on social media are permitted; however, when posting on social media or similar platforms, please mention ‘Visual Park’ as the source of the download.
