Hollyland gave us the first look at the Pyro 7 Ultra at Cine Gear 2026 in Los Angeles. The new 7-inch wireless monitor is designed to bring the performance of the company’s Pyro Ultra transmission system into a single all-in-one monitor body, marking the next step in building out what Hollyland is calling its Pyro ecosystem.
The Pyro Ultra System It’s Built On

Hollyland introduced the Pyro Ultra wireless video transmission system earlier this year, winning Best Transmitter at NAB 2026 and generating strong attention for pushing past the limits of the existing Pyro range. The Pyro Ultra is built on Hollyland’s proprietary TWiFi technology, a composite dual-band system combining 2.4GHz and 5GHz with automatic frequency hopping. It delivers true 4K60 over HDMI at 12 Mbps, with a line-of-sight range of up to 4,900 ft (1.5 km) in non-broadcast mode, and a Focus Mode that drops latency to as low as 20ms at 1080p, making it suitable for remote focus pulling. One transmitter connects to unlimited receivers, with stable performance using up to 20 units simultaneously. The system is also DFS certified, unlocking additional wireless spectrum in regulated regions.
The Pyro Ultra TX and RX units each weigh 320g, carry both HDMI 2.0 and 3G-SDI connections, support UVC and RTMP streaming, and accept power via NP-F battery plate, V-mount, or DC barrel input.
The Pyro 7 Ultra

The Pyro 7 Ultra takes that same transmission capability and builds it into a 7-inch monitor body. It is fully compatible with the existing Pyro Ultra transmitters and receivers, so it can drop into a Pyro Ultra system and function as a wireless monitor with the same 4,900 ft range and 20ms Focus Mode latency that the standalone RX delivers. Video transmission is 4K at up to 30fps. Like the rest of the Pyro Ultra ecosystem, it supports one transmitter to unlimited receivers, meaning a single Pyro Ultra TX can feed both standalone Pyro Ultra RX units and Pyro 7 Ultra monitors simultaneously.
Cine Gear 2026 was the product’s first public showing. Pricing has not yet been announced, and Hollyland is targeting availability by the end of summer 2026. Monitor specifications beyond the 7-inch screen size were not detailed at the show.
The Existing Pyro Lineup
The Pyro 7 Ultra sits within a broader ecosystem that includes the existing Pyro 7, a 7-inch all-in-one wireless transceiver monitor with 1920×1200 resolution, 1500 nits brightness, 60ms latency, and a range of up to 1,300 ft. The key differences with the Ultra version are the jump to 4K30 transmission, a significant range increase to 4,900 ft, and the drop to 20ms latency in Focus Mode, all inherited from the Pyro Ultra’s TWiFi technology.
