At NAB 2026, NiSi was showing its new 50mm T1 LPL mount cine prime lens. This is a full-frame ultra-fast prime lens if you are looking for an extremely shallow depth of field.
The lens covers a 46mm image circle, and it has a whopping 18 aperture blades. It weighs in at 2.29kg / 5.04 lbs, and it has a 95mm front diameter. The lens also features a cam focus mechanism with a 300-degree throw.
NiSi states that the lens can be used wide open at T1, and it still remains sharp with low amounts of chromatic aberration.
This is the first lens in the series, and NiSi will be releasing other focal lengths in the future. As they will need to be T1, you probably won’t be able to go wider than 35mm or longer than about 85mm.
Pricing & Availability
The NiSi 50mm T1 is expected to retail for $2,799 USD, and it should be available in August.
