Atomos will be showcasing one of the most significant product lineups in its history at NAB 2026. This includes major new product launches, such as the Sumo PRO-19, A-Eye Controller Pro, USB4 CFexpress Card Reader, and the acquisition of Flanders Scientific. Atomos has been undergoing a significant transformation from a monitor-recorder pioneer into a more comprehensive provider of video production technology solutions.
For many years, Atomos was primarily known for products like Ninja, Shinobi, Shogun, and Sumo. At NAB 2026, they will be showing everything from on-camera monitor-recorders to on-set collaboration tools, rack-mounted live production systems, cloud-based production services, audio accessories, PTZ solutions, workflow tools, and now reference-grade monitoring for postproduction and finishing.

Sumo PRO-19 supports recording in Apple ProRes, ProRes RAW, Avid DNx, and H.265 codecs from SDI or HDMI sources, with up to 10-bit 4:2:2 quality, and supports high-resolution RAW workflows up to 8K. Media can be recorded internally to high-speed CFexpress cards or externally to USB-C storage, offering versatile options for high-data-rate workflows.

Beyond just capture, Sumo PRO-19 functions as a secure backup recorder for redundancy, an instant review station for directors and clients, and a confidence monitor for critical viewing. Built-in Atomos monitoring tools include EL Zone false color, focus peaking, waveform, Log-to-LUT viewing, frame guides, safe areas, anamorphic de-squeeze, HDR-to-Rec.709 conversion, and quad-view monitoring. Frequently used exposure, framing, and monitoring tools can be quickly accessed via new, user-definable function buttons on the front of the panel.

Sumo PRO-19 also offers touchscreen control over key camera parameters, including start/stop, ISO, shutter, aperture, and white balance for supported cameras, as well as touch to focus. The ability to control cameras remotely is especially valuable in situations where the camera itself is difficult to access during shooting, for example, when mounted on cranes, jibs, or ceiling rigs.

Engineered for connected workflows, Sumo PRO-19 features integrated Wi-Fi and Ethernet, with support for cloud–based collaboration. DITs can upload footage directly to ATOMOSphere, Frame.io, Dropbox, and other camera-to-cloud services, enabling near real-time review and faster turnaround for distributed teams.

AirGlu timecode technology over RF or Bluetooth ensures precise synchronization with cameras and production devices across set.

Connectivity is further enhanced with NDI HX3 support for both send and receive, enabling broadcast-quality video, audio, and metadata transmission over standard Ethernet or Wi-Fi, ideal for flexible video village and remote production setups.

Professional audio integration includes two full-size XLR inputs with 48V phantom power, along with dedicated meters, gain control, and frame-accurate audio delay for seamless audio-video sync.
With its sleek, new-look chassis, Sumo PRO-19 is designed to be the centerpiece of modern on-set production, DIT workflows, and video village environments.

ATOMOSphere Editor

ATOMOSphere, the company’s cloud-based production platform, continues to evolve. At the show, Atomos will be showing the new ATOMOSphere Editor, which allows users to begin editing directly in the cloud without downloading media first. This works alongside Ground Control, a desktop application that connects ATOMOSphere projects directly to a user’s computer. Together, these additions strengthen the link between on-set capture, cloud storage, collaboration, editing, review, approval, and delivery, all within a single workflow environment.
Designed to support any camera, any format, and any workflow, ATOMOSphere is built to be the most flexible and accessible media cloud platform available.
ATOMOSphere Editor allows users to work directly in the cloud without needing to download media to a local computer. Once footage is uploaded, editors can immediately begin working from anywhere with an internet connection, refining cuts, preparing dailies, or building assemblies for client review. This removes one of the biggest bottlenecks in postproduction by eliminating the need to move large files between locations before editing can begin.
Teams can collaborate in real time, share updates instantly, and move projects forward without waiting for transfers or downloads. When needed, files can still be downloaded for finishing in traditional editing environments, giving users complete flexibility.
The result is a dramatically faster production cycle, where content can move from capture to delivery in minutes rather than days.
Alongside the cloud editor, Atomos is introducing Ground Control, a new desktop application that connects ATOMOSphere directly to your computer.
Ground Control transforms cloud projects into accessible drives on your desktop, allowing users to browse, manage, and organize files as if they were stored locally. There is no need to open a browser or manually download files just to access them.
Users can interact with their projects naturally, moving files, previewing media, and working across multiple projects with ease. Files are streamed and cached intelligently, giving immediate access while keeping local storage efficient.
This approach removes friction from file management and gives creators a faster, more intuitive way to work with cloud-based media
With these updates, ATOMOSphere now delivers a complete workflow solution that connects on-set capture, cloud storage, collaboration, editing, and delivery, all on a single platform.
Whether working solo or across global teams, creators can now upload from any device, edit from anywhere, and deliver instantly, without being tied to a single location or system.
ATOMOSphere remains one of the most affordable media cloud solutions for back-up, collaboration and sharing available, supporting a wide range of formats including ProRes, HEVC, H.264, and RAW formats, both video and stills, from all major camera brands.
What’s new with ATOMOSphere at NAB:
- New ATOMOSphere Editor allows users to work directly in the cloud without needing to download media

New audio & workflow accessories

Atomos is also broadening its ecosystem with new audio and workflow accessories. These include the StudioSonic Shotgun Mic, StudioSonic Pro wired production headphones, and new StudioSonic Air wireless and wired headphones.
Flanders Scientific Acquisition

Atomos’ acquisition of Flanders Scientific significantly strengthens the company’s position in professional monitoring by adding one of the industry’s most trusted names in reference displays. With this move, Atomos now spans the full monitoring workflow, from on-camera monitoring with Shinobi and Ninja, to on-set workflows with Sumo, to broadcast and rack-mounted production with Shogun AV, and now through to reference-grade monitoring for postproduction, mastering, and final delivery with FSI. Importantly, Flanders Scientific will continue to operate as a distinct brand within the Atomos family, preserving the product philosophy, engineering approach, and trust that professionals already rely on.
This acquisition matters because reference-grade monitoring is not simply about higher specifications. It is about trust, validation, and industry acceptance in demanding professional workflows. By bringing FSI into the group, Atomos gains credibility and capability at the highest tier of the market, while giving customers a broader monitoring pathway from acquisition to delivery. It also reinforces the wider Atomos message at NAB, which is that the company is no longer only building individual devices; it is building a connected production ecosystem to support creators, crews, broadcasters, and postproduction professionals at every stage of the process.
NAB 2026
Atomos is inviting visitors to take part in daily booth demos, with a daily prize draw at 5pm on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday for the chance each day to win a Shinobi II and a Ninja RAW. Attendees must be at the booth at 5pm to claim the prize.
