EditReady ALE exports

EditReady now has ALE exports. What this means is that users can retain metadata from their original camera footage when creating proxies for Avid Media Composer.

A common issue in post-production workflows is that critical camera metadata (such as scene/take info, lens data, and production notes) is lost when transcoding original footage into editorial proxies.

To overcome this issue, EditReady can now generate an ALE file as a metadata map that acts as a bridge. This allows your editing software (specifically Avid Media Composer) to reunite the proxy clips with their original set-recorded data.

The latest release of EditReady automates this process, and users can enable ALE export in their settings before transcoding.

When you import the generated ALE file into your NLE after importing your proxies, your clips arrive in your project fully labeled, organized, and ready for editing, saving you from having to manually rebuild the metadata.
