Krotos Video to Sound Integration for Adobe Premiere Pro

Krotos Studio in premiere Pro

Krotos has an upcoming integration into Adobe Premiere Pro that brings its Video to Sound workflow directly into the timeline. The goal is to reduce the need to switch between tools and allow editors to build a first pass of sound design as they cut picture.

Sound design is often handled after picture lock or requires moving between multiple tools, which can slow down the whole process. Krotos wants to fix this by allowing editors to analyze footage and generate sound elements such as ambience, transitions, impacts, and Foley using professionally recorded sound libraries, so they can be placed directly into the timeline as editable audio. According to Krotos, unlike generative approaches, all sounds are derived from real recordings created by professional sound designers to provide consistent, production-ready results.

Once generated, audio elements remain fully editable within the timeline. Editors can adjust timing, intensity, and variation, or regenerate specific elements without starting from scratch. This allows sound to be incorporated earlier in the editing process, helping teams evaluate pacing, transitions, and overall impact while cutting picture.

Availability

The Premiere Pro integration will be available from May 2026, with early access and ongoing updates planned. Krotos will demonstrate the integration at NAB in a few weeks time.
