Silverback Films has posted a VFX breakdown that reveals how a sequence from Netflix’s The Dinosaurs was built. It showcases the layers of visual effects used to create the final shot seen in the series.
Across the production, the series features over 800 VFX shots, ranging from close-ups of bristling feathers, blinking eyes, and skin textures, to sequences of dinosaurs racing across beaches or weaving through vast herds.
Working alongside the visual effects created by Industrial Light & Magic, the team combined cutting-edge technology with natural history storytelling to bring these ancient animals to life.
