To celebrate its 10th anniversary, The Revenant is returning to theaters February 26 and March 1 exclusively in IMAX.
The Revenant, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy, was released in 2015 and grossed over $532 million at the global box office. The film won three Oscars for directing (Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s), acting (Leonardo DiCaprio), and cinematography (Emmanuel Lubezki).
The Revenant features a screenplay by Mark L. Smith and Alejandro G. Iñárritu based in part on the novel by Michael Punke, and is produced by Steve Golin, Alejandro G. Iñárritu, and Arnon Milchan. The film, which is inspired by real events, tells the story of a frontiersman in the 1800s who is left for dead and must survive a brutal winter in the wilderness before returning to avenge his son’s death.
