The PolarPro x Shortstache SHIFT Diopters were built for photographers and filmmakers who want to capture tighter shots without changing lenses. These are particularly useful on anamorphic lenses, where the minimum focus distances are usually not great.
They are claimed to feature optical-grade multi-coated glass, clean close-focus performance, and they come in three strengths.

As they come in a range of different sizes, you can use them on a wide variety of lenses.
How does each strength affect the focus range?
- +2 sets your maximum focus distance at 0.5M
- +4 sets your maximum focus distance at 0.25M
- +8 sets your maximum focus distance at 0.125M
Can you use a VND with the Shift Diopters?
With the MagLock version, yes, just put the VND behind the Shift. If you are using threaded filters, there is no VND compatibility; Straight ND’s must be used behind the SHIFT (threaded VNDs have larger outer rings to reduce vignetting).
