Freefly has a one-of-a-kind 500g lightweight Ember FPV Drone that was designed to push the limits of what’s possible in flight, and to bring slow-motion capture into places only GoPro FPV drones can reach.
Freefly’s goal was to make Ember fly like no other FPV drone. They wanted the smallest possible aircraft while still having plenty of speed in the corners.
When it comes to drones, a lighter camera and airframe mean increased agility in flight. So what Freefly did was to remove the metal chassis from Ember and rehouse it in a 3D printed one. This effectively saved them 300g.
The Ember FPV drone uses high-power fans to stay cool. These fans are very loud, but that hardly matters when filming high-speed material. With snap-on guards and smaller props, users can fly safely near soft targets.
