At IBC 2025 in Amsterdam, Easyrig was showing its new Vario 6. This comes ten years after the launch of arguably what was their most popular large system, the Vario 5.
The Easyrig Vario 6 is a lightweight support system that is 20% lighter compared to the Vario 5. As the market has changed and there have been countless new cameras coming to market over the last ten years, Easyrig wanted to adapt. To do this, they have made the Vario 6 compatible with cameras weighing between 4–14 kg / 9-31 lbs.

The Easyrig Vario 6 also features a new, sleek design and a completely new mechanism in the power pack, which allows users to adjust the tension of the line themselves without needing to ask for help.
The Easyrig Vario 6 will not replace the Easyrig Vario 5, as they serve different purposes.
In a nice touch, the Easyrig Vario 6 can be retrofitted onto all previous vests, so if you’re interested in upgrading your current Easyrig, you’ll only need to purchase the support bar by itself. You can also attach any upper arm in the lineup to the Easyrig Vario 6.
The Easyrig Vario 6 will be more affordable than the current Vario 5.
If you happen to be attending IBC 2025, you can try it out in person at booth 12.F82.
