Blackmagic Video Assist 3.12 Update

The Blackmagic Video Assist 3.12 Update adds support for Blackmagic RAW recording from Panasonic Lumix GH6 cameras to Video Assist 5” and 7” 12G HDR models.

Panasonic recently released the Ver 2.3 firmware update for the LUMIX GH6 that adds BRAW recording to Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR external recorder. While the GH6 has been out for some time, it’s good to see Panasonic add more value to the MFT camera for existing owners. The GH6 retails for $1,697.99. This includes a $500.00 instant discount.

BRAW Recording With Video Assist 12G HDR

To record BRAW, you need to use the Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR, which is available in 5″ and 7″ models.

12-bit RAW video in [5.7K],[C4K],[Anamorphic (4:3) 5.8K],[Anamorphic (4:3) 4.4K] can be output to the Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR’ over HDMI to be saved as Blackmagic RAW.

Support for 4K 120p/100p HDMI output

Either C4K 120p/100p or 4K 120p/100p video can be output to the Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR over HDMI.
